Elise studied at the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University and has gone onto work in the area of social policy and welfare for the Department of Human Services in Perth and Canberra. Elise has been working in the field of disability in the tertiary sector (both vocational and university) for the past 10 years and has been an active member (and on the Executive Committee in the role of joint secretary) for ATEND WA chapter formally TEDAN WA Inc. Elise also represents WA as part of the national network of ATEND. Elise has recently returned to her alma mater of UWA as an Accessibility Advisor and this has given her insight into student life again and the current challenges and opportunities for tertiary students.

Elise has enjoyed working across the tertiary sector and being part of strong support teams to assist students with disability in their transition to a tertiary environment and working in partnership on their education journey. Elise greatly values being part of a collaborative network of disability practitioners working to reduce the barriers for students with disability in access to education and support for future career pathways.
