ATEND South Australian State Committee, DTEN

The ATEND South Australian State Committee, DTEN, is a network of Disability Practitioners from the Higher Education sector.  We have approximately 20 members who work across NDCO, TAFE and University institutions.

We meet monthly and rotate the location of the meetings between the various educational institutions.  We take informal meeting notes rather than minutes and these become the basis of our monthly ATEND report.   DTEN organises Professional Development days a couple of times each year and we also invite guest speakers to our monthly meetings.  Our funds have been lodged with ATEND, within a separate budget line, enabling DTEN to invoice ATEND for our Professional Development days.

We use our monthly meetings to discuss best practice, future professional development sessions, current education and disability issues and to provide peer support.

The current President is Dallas Dunn from the University of South Australia. His contact details are Dallas.Dunn@unisa.edu.au
