Pathways15 Online: Advancing Inclusion in 2020 and Beyond is a free event open to disability practitioners, academics, teachers, educators, NDCOs, students with disability and those with an interest in addressing barriers for people with disability participating in tertiary education, training and subsequent employment.
Pathways was scheduled to be held in Darwin, as a paid event for attendees. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on travel and fiscal environments, we made the decision to change the event to be online, and have made it free of charge to ensure it is available to all who will benefit from attending, during this difficult time.
This event could not have happened without the support of our partners and sponsors. ATEND would like to acknowledge the contributions of the Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET), the National Disability Coordination Officer Program (NDCO), Captioning Concierge from Bradley Reporting, The Disability Awareness – Supporting students in VET resource, Glean and Texthelp
ATEND would like your support.
We wanted to ensure that everybody working in the tertiary sector has equal access to information about how to best support students with disability this year, during this unprecedented crisis. For this reason we have decided to make the pathways online conference free.
It wasn’t easy. There won’t be much left over once the dust settles.
Doing this will leave ATEND in a challenging position. We know many organisations are in a similar boat.
ATEND is a small organisation with two sources of income.
- The Pathways Conference (This conference!)
We know some people are in a position to pay for professional development this year, and some are not.
If you are in a position to make a contribution to ATEND’s ongoing efforts including advocacy on issues relating to policy, practice and the advancement of issues relating to disability in tertiary education, and the future of Pathways Conferences, please make a donation of any amount by clicking on the ‘Donate’ button below – credit card payments facilitated by PayPal.
Please note: If you are in a position to pay for your attendance via a donation, we are able to provide a receipt for professional development for you. This would be linked to this year’s Pathways15 Online Conference.
Thank you for supporting ATEND, and we look forward to welcoming you to the first ever Pathways Online Conference.
